Ricky Gervais reveals VERY rude request from After Life fans when season 3 hits Netflix this week

AFTER the third and final season of Life hits Netflix this weekend – and its creator Ricky Gervais has revealed he’s been inundated with rude requests from fans.
Is he playing the role of an obnoxious boss? David Brent in The Office or performing a stand-up comedy, Ricky has long been seen as sassy and polarizing.
But his Netflix must-see comedy-drama Afterlife revealed her soft side, thanks to her portrayal of the brutally beautiful widow Tony Johnson.
As a result, it has given him a whole new army of followers – including a surprising number of children and elders.
But among those fans, Gervais said his appearance as a straight-talking Tony has led to unusual requests – such as throwing abuse at them.
In an exclusive interview with The Sun’s TV Mag, the 60-year-old quipped: “Not in real life, but they ask that in fan mail.
“The most frequent request is ‘Can you call me a rough ginger?’ It’s the most popular line from the show. ”
Since its debut on Netflix in 2019, After Life has become one of the most watched series in the studio’s history, with over 100 million views worldwide.
But Ricky insists that’s not what motivates him.
“I do this like a job. I love it, but I do it like a job and I do it for pay,” he added.
“I’ve never done that for awards, acclaim, or ratings or anything. I do it because I love doing it and someone pays me to do it.
“No one has ever bought a house with a great Rotten Tomatoes score.”

The third season of After Life will be available to stream on Netflix this Friday.
