Rightcharge partners with Perrys to accelerate smart EV charging in the UK

All-in-one charging station and EV-friendly energy tariff comparison service correct charge, has entered into a partnership with the British franchise car dealership group Perry’s to further accelerate the uptake of electric vehicles in the UK.

The agreement makes Rightcharge Perry’s recommended partner to help its customers find the best possible home charger deals and energy plans that best meet their unique needs.

This means Perrys customers can access a wide range of home charging stations, get an instant recommendation based on their needs and benefit from reduced installation times thanks to Rightcharge’s network of over 70 hand-picked UK installers.

According to the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT), the EV market is booming in the UK, with more Brits buying an electric vehicle in the last year than in the previous five years combined. That number will only increase as the nation prepares for the 2030 ban on the sale of new gasoline and diesel vehicles and further improves public charging infrastructure.

Rightcharge is fast becoming the go-to place for Brits looking for advice on their home electric vehicle charging needs, and has seen a 100 per cent increase in requests for charging points to be installed between late last year and this early this year.

Denise Millard, CEO of Perrys said:

“We are very excited to partner with Rightcharge. It can be difficult at first to navigate the various options available when making the switch to an electric vehicle. By partnering with Rightcharge, we can guide and support our customers considering the switch to an electric vehicle, helping them find the best home chargers and EV-friendly energy plans while saving some money in the process. At a time when UK households are facing soaring energy prices, savings like these can make a real difference. Perrys has seen significant growth in demand for electric vehicles and this is continuing, particularly as manufacturers launch new electric and hybrid models as we approach 2030 when the UK government’s petrol ban comes into effect.”

The Perrys deal is the latest announcement from Rightcharge, which now supports over 200 UK retail locations with more planned in the future. Rightcharge partners with Perrys to accelerate smart EV charging in the UK
