Rita Ora confirms marriage to Taika Waititi

Rita Ora has confirmed her marriage to New Zealand filmmaker Taika Waititi, saying she is “officially leaving the market”.

He, the 32-year-old singer-songwriter and panelist for The Masked Singer, said she had a “wonderful and perfect” wedding as she released her new single You Only Love Me. tells about her romantic journey with Oscar winner Waititi on Friday.

When asked during Breakfast Hearts with Jamie Theakston and Amanda Holden if she’s married to the director, Ora said: “Yes, yes, you know, here we are. Everything happens for a reason, I’m officially out of the market.”

She began dating Waititi after moving to Australia in 2021 to coach the local version of The Voice.

She says her new song was inspired by the beginnings of her relationship with Waititi, 47, who recently starred in the romantic comedy series Our Flag Means Death about the pirate name.

Waititi is known as the writer, producer and director of Jojo Rabbit, the film in which he also starred and for which he won the award for writing (adapted screenplay) at the Awards Ceremony. Ora said the music video for You Only Love Me, which features Ora as the bride, is about a wedding that “did not go according to plan” and didn’t resemble her own story.

She added: “I really wanted to show the fact that I chose to keep (my wedding) more private… and just for myself a little more but I wanted to show what could happen. , so here’s what I’m giving the public about what might happen.
