RNLI recruit lifeguards in Bognor and Littlehampton
A campaign has been launched in West Sussex to ensure beaches are fully patrolled from April.
Lifeguards provided by the RNLI will assist in rescuing beachgoers from the water and provide first aid and safety advice to the public.
Tom Ward, RNLI Senior Lifeguard Supervisor for West Sussex said: “Working as a beach lifeguard is a rewarding job that will help you develop many transferrable skills for any career path. Additionally, it helps you build confidence and leadership skills, and improves your ability to work as part of a team, often leading to lifelong friendships.
“There are so many opportunities to advance in the role and you are making a huge difference in your community by preventing potentially life-threatening situations. We are looking for people who are willing to learn and put their education into action to make the right decision when someone’s life is in danger.”
