A cyclist was taken to the hospital after an accident with a car.
The accident happened around 2.30pm this afternoon at the junction of Blatchington Hill and Sutton Drove in Seaford.
Ambulance crews are currently at the scene of the accident next to Blatchington Pond.
A passer-by said: “It looks like a cyclist was injured in a crash next to the pond during school hours.
“This intersection is worrying because there is so much traffic at times.
“I saw a bike lying on the ground by the side of the road.”
A spokesman for the South East Coast Ambulance Service said: “I can confirm that we were called just after 2.30pm today to reports of an incident involving a bicycle at the junction of Sutton Drove and Blatchington Road in Seaford.
“Ambulance crews were at the scene and one patient was examined and treated at the scene before being taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton.”
A Sussex Police spokesman said: “An incident involving a cyclist was reported at 2.35pm in Blatchington Hill, Seaford.
“The police assisted the emergency services during a road block.”
