Rob Kardashian has testified that he feared for his life one night in 2016 when his then-fiancée Blac Chyna pointed a gun at his head, pulled a cell phone charger cord around his neck and repeatedly hit him with a metal rod while under the influence of substances.
She strangled me, she put a gun to my head twice, she was on cocaine and alcohol,” Mr. Kardashian said, his voice rising almost to a scream in a Los Angeles courtroom as Ms. Chyna’s attorney, Lynne Ciani tried to cast doubt on the attack and its severity.
Ms Chyna is suing Mr Kardashian’s mother Kris Jenner and sisters Kim Kardashian, Khloe Kardashian and Kylie Jenner, alleging they spread false reports that she assaulted him to cancel her Keeping Up With the Kardashians spinoff Rob & Chyna and her Ruining Reality TV Careers.
During an emotional and contentious hour at the stand, Mr Kardashian got angry when Ms Ciani asked him why photos and videos from the following days showed no marks on him, although he testified that she repeatedly hit him with a six-footed metal baton .
“Did you have as much as a plaster with you?” asked the lawyer.
“I just told you it didn’t leave a mark on my face!” Mr. Kardashian said. “And the gun to my head twice that night left no mark on my temple!”
Kris Jenner and Kim Kardashian watched the testimony from the front row of the gallery and showed no visible reaction.
Ms Chyna testified early in the trial that she had never been violent towards Mr Kardashian.
She said that on the night of December 14 to the morning of December 15, 2016, the couple celebrated the news that Rob & Chyna were getting a second season.

The night’s celebration turned into a bitter fight in the morning when he took her phone and locked himself in a closet looking for evidence of communication with other men, she said.
She testified that earlier that evening she playfully wrapped a cell phone charger around Mr. Kardashian’s neck because he was ignoring her and, as a joke, took a gun he always carried unloaded from a bedside table.
The chain of events would lead to the end of the relationship and their show.
Mr Kardashian, 35, the youngest of Kris Jenner’s four children with the late Robert Kardashian, has a much lower public profile than his mother and sisters. He was primarily an offscreen character, only appearing occasionally on the family’s reality show.
He broke the pattern in 2016 and spent a year in the spotlight before things went bad. He and wife Chyna started dating in January, announced their engagement in April, announced they were having a child together in May, had their own reality show premiere in September and had a daughter, Dream, in November.
He testified Wednesday that he felt afterwards that their love was never real and that he was at the “weakest, worst point” of his life when their relationship began.
He said the pairing was “toxic” from the start and she hit him at least five times during the year-long relationship.
“To strangle someone, to hit someone, that’s not family,” he said. “To me, that’s not love.”
Mr. Kardashian is not a defendant in this trial. Ms Chyna’s allegations against him, arising out of the same incidents, will be tried separately in court after the conclusion of these proceedings.
Earlier Wednesday, Corey Gamble, a key witness supporting Mr Kardashian’s account of the attack, insisted he saw Ms Chyna hit him and whip him with a phone charger cord when Ms Ciani tried to poke holes in his story.
“I said she attacked him,” said Mr. Gamble, the longtime friend and occasional co-star of Keeping Up With the Kardashians matriarch Kris Jenner. “What I saw is what I saw.”
Mr Gamble said he rushed to the house where the couple was staying after Kris Jenner received an early morning call from her son that sounded deeply distressed.
When he arrived, he said, Ms Chyna was holding some sort of metal bar and threw it down. She lunged at Mr. Kardashian, whipped at him with the phone cord, and then hit him.
“When she got to him, she started hitting him,” Mr. Gamble testified. “I was able to blend in between the two. I even got hit two or three times.”
Mr Gamble said Ms Chyna threw a chair at Mr Kardashian’s car as he was leaving and then tried to pick up a table but Mr Gamble stopped her.
During cross-examination, Ms Ciani had Mr Gamble read from a statement he made two years earlier in the case, in which he said he had arrived to find Ms Chyna, who was hitting Mr Kardashian with her fists, but did not mention any of the objects.
“You didn’t see enough to mention the metal pole, the string, or the table?” Ms. Ciani asked.
“I don’t know why I didn’t include those details,” said Mr. Gamble.
