He bought the mattress for £8.1m in 2008 but it sold for ‘just’ £6.75m.

The rock singer listed a 7-bedroom villa in the countryside this past September.

And now, luxury real estate agent Knight Frank has revealed the property has been sold under contract.

Robbie, 47, and his wife Ayda Field, 42, raised their children at the impressive home.

The spacious seven-bedroom property is set on a 71-acre rural site and features a football field, tennis court and private helicopter hangar.

There is also an additional cottage for guests on site, as well as two separate apartments for staff including nannies or cleaners.

The house – called Compton Bassett House – has a relaxing spa with a gym, indoor pool, hot tub and sauna inside.

Despite raising his four children – Theodora 9, Charlton 7, Colette, 3, and Beau, 2 – in the home, Robbie is still putting it on the market in 2021.

“The Compton Bassett House was the perfect escape for our family,” he said at the time. That’s where Ayda and I really fell in love and became a couple.

“Since then, we have welcomed four beautiful children into the luxurious rooms at Compton Bassett House, where we have shared many laughs and joys.

“The gardens and trees fascinated us with their magic, and on rainy days we played and splashed around the indoor pool, much to our delight.

“Compton Bassett House is definitely a family-friendly home that deserves more laughter and fun within its pretty walls.”

TRANSFER ON

But he said that now he has fallen out of love with the house.

Robbie admitted in a podcast interview: “It gives me the creeps. “Teddy said to me, ‘That room scared the crap out of me. I don’t like that house’.

“I said, ‘I’m scared too. You don’t need to sleep there anymore’. If there is great pain or great pain or tragedy, I think it can seep into the wall and leave the essence there for a very long time. ”

The family want to make their £24m Swiss mansion their main home after move there during the pandemic.
