Roberto de Zerbi could be briefly thrown back to his days as a football-loving boy in the Brescia stands as he enjoys his home debut as Albion manager today.
Fans will wave a flag in the North Stand to greet the Italy head coach at Amex.
They’ll be hoping for some of the excitement that was served up at Anfield last Saturday.
Likewise, De Zerbi is hoping fans will be in great spirits when they visit Tottenham (5.30pm), their first home game in five weeks.
He said: “I’m looking forward to my first game at Brighton Stadium.
“I hope for a good game.
“I want to see our fans because I always give a lot of importance to the fans.
“I grew up at the Brescia stadium.
“I never talk about the result, but my teams always play with courage.
“I want my team to play the game, with personality and the right mentality.”
