Roblox, Building the Metaverse, Looks Like Bringing Educational Video Games to Schools


Roblox Corp. plans to help bring educational video games to classrooms around the world, part of a strategy to expand its predominantly teen and ten-year-old user base and play a role in the continued growth. According to the Internet called metaverse.

San Mateo, California-based Roblox announced Monday that it has invested $10 million to help develop three games for middle school, high school, and college students. The company’s free platform, on Microsoft Corp.’s mobile, desktop and Xbox systems, had more than 47 million daily users in the third quarter, about half of whom were under the age of 13.
