Robson Green has revealed that he is gearing up for a TV comeback with his former co-star Jerome Flynn.
The duo were famous stars together in the ’90s, appearing in the hit ITV series Soldier Soldier in five series, then topping the pop charts with Unchained Melody and I Believe.
The pair have barely worked together since, but Robson said: “There could be something, you’re the first to hear this, up in the air with Jerome and me coming out. A television program.
“We had a meeting and it went well.
Calling Jerome, 58, not only a friend but a “brilliant actor,” Robson added: “Everybody sees that in Ripper Street and Game of Thrones, but on stage he’s also. great”.
When asked if the show would be a novel or a documentary, he added: “It could be a hybrid… let’s see.”
Robson’s work without his buddy includes the ITV series Grantchester, in which he played Det Insp Geordie Keating.
At the Cheltenham Festival on Friday, Robson, 57, said another series was planned and one was discussed.
But the work dried up in the impasse, prompting Robson to consider returning to work as a naval architect. He said: “I was thinking, ‘Shall I go back to hull design?’ But fortunately, the pandemic is easing a bit.”
