Rockstar introduces the membership service for GTA Online on console

Rockstar’s Grand Theft Auto V online component will receive premium membership service on consoles. Dubbed GTA+, the membership offers what the company describes as “easy access” to valuable items like in-game cash, real estate, and more.
While membership is not required to enjoy GTA Online, the fee seems to be aimed at new players who want to take part in the chaotic shenanigans of online Los Santos. Membership will net players an in-game cash infusion of GTA$500,000 each month, which could greatly help a new player catch up. However, not everything is explicitly designed for new players, as Rockstar undoubtedly would have liked to see GTA Online players enter.
In addition, membership offers discounts and bonuses that are only available with an active subscription. It also looks like this sub is waving what the actual monthly bonuses are and keeping it fresh each month for players who want to use the service. This month some of the perks include cash infusion, a supercar, the ability to easily upgrade your yacht, RP bonuses, waived LS Car Meet fees and more.
These bonuses rotate monthly, with the current period starting on March 29th and running through April 27th.
The service launches on March 29th for PlayStation and Xbox players, and players of either generation of consoles can sign up. It costs $5.99 per month and players can sign up through their console’s store. While no word has been mentioned about a PC version of this, it would make sense to see this in the Rockstar Launcher on PC at some point in the future.
