Rockstar is releasing an anniversary edition to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Max Payne 3’s industrial soundtrack

Industry Band Health and Rockstar Games have announced that a 10th anniversary edition of the soundtrack for Max Payne 3 is being worked on.
Today (May 15) is the 10th anniversary of the third-person shooter, and to celebrate, a special edition of the game’s original soundtrack will be released later this year. This new installment of the soundtrack will feature the tracks found in the original game but will also debut previously unreleased tracks. A release date isn’t set in stone yet, but it will be available digitally. And for the gamer who likes to buy vinyl soundtracks but doesn’t necessarily have a turntable, a limited vinyl edition is coming too.
“When we began work on the Max Payne 3 score, we could not have foreseen the momentous impact it would have on the development of our band and the music we make,” Health said in a statement. “Now 10 years later we are still so proud to be part of history.”
It looks like Rockstar is going all-in on Max Payne at the moment, with remakes for the first two Max Payne games on the way steering developer remedy entertainment. Both the first and second Max Payne games were developed by Remedy in 2001 and 2003 respectively, although development of the third switched to Rockstar itself.
There don’t seem to be any plans for a Max Payne 3 remake just yet, but considering Remedy hasn’t made three, it’s understandable that isn’t the case.
Remedy is clearly also busy at the moment, as the developer recently announced a port of Nintendo Switch Alan Wake will arrive later this year. Of course, the developer is also working on it Alan Wake 2which will be much more of a survival horror game than its predecessor.
