Roman Kemp has explained how he arrived at Buckingham Palace in a tracksuit and football boots, after mistakenly thinking he was going to The One Show studio for a hair and makeup look on Wednesday night.

Roman Kemp has admitted he made ‘an absolute hammer on Twitter’ on Wednesday night, following a disastrous appearance on The One Show.

Roman admitted that he went to the Palace in a tracksuit, mistakenly thinking he was going to a TV studio for his hair and makeup.
Speaking on Capital Breakfast on Thursday morning, the radio host confessed he wanted to clear things up, because, in his words, he was “completely serious on Twitter.”

Chatting on the station’s top radio show, Roman went on to recall the mix that led to him appearing on TV looking a little depressed.
“I think I just go to The One Show and I’ll say, you know, ‘we’re doing this, and the ballots are going to be open and you can get your tickets’ and all that. ,” he told his audience on Thursday morning.

“Suddenly, they sent me a taxi. I got in a taxi. I knew I was also playing football last night, after The One Show, so I had to get my football boots in my pocket, my football kit, my shins. pieces. there’s a lot of padding in there, right?
He went on to explain that he got his make-up done without any hair or makeup, believing he was going to a television studio, where they provide those services to you.
“So I got in this taxi, and all of a sudden, it started to turn a few blocks without me realizing it,” he recounted live online.
“And we weren’t headed to The One Show because I went to Buckingham Palace!”

Roman went on to explain how he was greeted by “four, five heavily armed bodyguards” asking for identification as he was wearing a tracksuit.
“I found some identification on my phone and all this. I made my way into the Palace. I’m still wearing my tracksuit, I still have football boots in my pocket…” he continued. shocking co-star Sian Welby.
“I don’t wear makeup, my hair is parted, I look like Boris Johnson… I go in there and they say ‘oh, we have to give you a suit!’ So now I have to get my lost fortune suit back with no tie!

During an appearance on The One Show on Wednesday night, the radio host announced that George Ezra would be performing at the Palace Platinum Party celebrating the Queen’s 70th Jubilee.
The Budapest singer, 28, is the first artist confirmed for a live concert on June 4, commemorating the UK’s longest-serving monarch.
