Rosanna Davison is telling parents to ‘trust their instincts’ after daughter Sophia, 3, was hospitalized with scarlet fever

Rosanna Davison, 38, has opened up to followers about a dramatic weekend for her family when her daughter Sophia, three, was hospitalized with scarlet fever.
The mother of three took to Instagram to share the signs of the illness with other parents.
Influencer Rosanna revealed that she was taking a walk by the sea with her brother when Sophia’s health was rapidly deteriorating.
Sharing a sweet snap with followers, she captioned the post: “Nice walk with @michael_davison and family yesterday before ending up in hospital with Sophia.
“Never a dull day. She’s totally fine now, I’ll tell you what happened as soon as I have a quiet moment.”
In a video message update, the model revealed: “Just thought I’d go through what happened to Sophia yesterday – only if you’re a parent of a young child in a similar situation just so you know you have to move fast .
“Don’t wait around, trust your instincts and don’t take chances with her health as we have found as the situation can get worse pretty quickly.”

Rosanna then explained how Sophia had suddenly become unwell.
“A few days ago, Sophia had a fever and was complaining of stomach pains, so I kept her away from school.
“I took her temperature yesterday morning and it was fine. I felt like she was a little quieter than her usual bubbly self, but we still went for a walk and met my brother and parents.
“We hadn’t been out that long before she really went downhill. She developed a flushed red rash on her face, small red bumps. But it was her tongue that scared me the most.
“It was bright red, with small sore bumps all over it – much like the rash on her face – and a white patch in the middle. She was sleepy and lethargic and developed a fever at this stage. She also fell asleep during the walk, which is not normal for her.”
Rosanna called her doctor and then took Sophia to the hospital for further evaluation.
When they arrived at the hospital, Sophia’s temperature reached almost 40 degrees.
“It was really fast, very efficient and very friendly,” said the mother.
“The doctor diagnosed her with scarlet fever and put her on a 10-day course of antibiotics, which she has already responded to.”
