In an interview with /Film, Rosario Dawson talked about her return to the world of Jay and Silent Bob. While her brief appearance in the film still generates some laughs thanks to another reference, Becky is mostly seen as a ghost haunting Dante from the past. Her presence evokes some strong emotions, especially in Dante’s startling speech during the film’s climax. But Dawson was happy to reprise his role and approach the character in this way.
“It hurts, it’s triggering. Some of those flashbacks, it’s horrible. It’s pretty devastating and also surreal. We lose the people we love, when we think about them, We love them. That’s how I feel about Becky, I love her. It’s sad, but it also brings richness to these characters and what they’ve been through. And you get it. really understand the breakdowns they’re going through and some of these conversations, like Brian’s monologue about what he’s going through, are powerful. when it comes to expressing Becky’s loss, you know what I mean?”
