Rosie Connolly has revealed she signed Covid ‘after dodging the bullet for two years’.
The Dublin native took to her Instagram Stories on Saturday to tell her followers that she was suffering the “worst 12 hours of illness” she has had in years.
She then shared a photo of a positive antigen test with two distinct red lines indicating she had contracted the virus.
“I think after dodging the bullet for two years, we’ve got a mother down,” Rosie said.
“I’m waiting for an antigen to be brought home to me but wow the worst 12 hour illness I’ve had in a long time! Fever, chills, nausea, migraines…
“If it’s not Covid, then it’s a pretty brutal flu,” she added, before her test results came back.
The mother-of-two also said her eyes were “killing” her and felt “so sensitive,” so she went to bed to rest.
It seems Covid has finally caught up with Rosie as she narrowly avoided the virus last summer.
Back in May, the influencer told her followers that she had been bedridden for days, saying: “Hope everyone is finally enjoying the sun!!! Very jealous as I haven’t gotten out of bed for the past few days.”
Sharing a screenshot of text from the HSE saying her PCR test had come back negative, she added: “Thankfully not Covid but it hit me like a ton of bricks.
“Super effective tests… Had mine yesterday and it came back within 24 hours. Was in and out in 5 minutes! I will sleep more and hopefully be better tomorrow to enjoy the sun!”
