Rother Police surrender swords and bayonets to Bexhill Museum

SWORDS and bayonets given to police during a knife amnesty program have found a new home.

The historic blades were given to Rother Police, who have since given the items to the Bexhill Museum.

Bexhill Museum curator Julian Porter said the items had “historical significance”.

“I was really glad these were passed on to us, they have such historical significance,” he said.

The Police Community Support Officer who donated the swords to the museum said: “Our history is lost too easily.”
