Avid viewers of the Platinum Jubilee celebrations have pointed out Meghan Markle’s reaction to Kate Middleton as the Duchesses attended a service honoring Her Majesty’s 70 years of service.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex returned to the UK from their new home in Los Angeles for the Platinum Jubilee celebrations, which marked their first public appearance with the Cambridges since Megxit.

Though the duchesses never came face to face at Friday’s Thanksgiving service, royal fans couldn’t help but notice Meghan’s “apparent” snub at Kate as she arrived at the cathedral.

The eagle-eyed fans pointed out that Meghan can be seen turning her head away from the Duchess of Cambridge in an apparent refusal to look at her sister-in-law.

Kitty captioned the clip: “Everybody noticed the woman in the white hat (Meghan) turned her head to the left as the Duchess of Cambridge walked by…”

Other royal observers were quick to agree, with many saying they’d noticed the “reaction” too.

“Yes, I noticed that,” one wrote, while another agreed, “It’s also very obvious.”

A third wrote: “Wow it’s obvious when you see it.”

Another added in agreement: “Top spot! She definitely turned away!”

The Queen was absent after struggling with some “discomfort” on the first day of the celebrations, Trooping the Color of Thursday.

Most of the other senior royals joined the Sussexes at the cathedral, with the exception of Prince Andrew, who is said to have fallen ill with Covid.

However, Harry and Meghan chose not to bring their two children, Archie, three, and Lillibet, one, who only met their great-grandmother and monarch for the first time on Thursday.

The “nervous” couple were not seen at the pageant and grand finale of the celebrations today (Sunday 5 June).
