Roz Purcell admits she was “sick” when she found out her alopecia was back

Influencer Roz Purcell has spoken openly about battling alopecia and has received “bad news” that she’s battling another bald spot.
The hair loss is stress-related, the Miss Universe Ireland winner told her followers on Instagram yesterday.
“I haven’t had the best time in the last two or three months,” she admitted.
“I know I’ve had an amazing Christmas holiday and it was an amazing time, but still I think the holidays are a nice distraction from things that are going on.”
The former model admitted she’s been a bit distant from her Instagram followers lately, admitting that she “can’t lie” when she’s not feeling well.
“And the annoying thing is that the alopecia is back…which, in a very vain way, is the most annoying part.”
The Irish star revealed the process behind getting her hair done and said she was in a way grateful that her “bald spot” was where few people can see it.
“I’m in the process of getting my hair done with Conor and he found it.
“I spoke to him in the mirror and the second he found him I could see his face change.
“He said, ‘You know you have another one?’

“He said, ‘Look, if you don’t want me to keep doing your hair, you can go.’
“Because everyone who’s dealt with alopecia or found bald spots, sometimes they say, ‘Nobody goes near my hair.’
“I know it seems really vain… finding a patch is the worst thing, especially the last two years spent waxing one and growing my hair out.
“I said, ‘You’re doing my hair Conor,’ and thank god he did it because look at it, it looks amazing.
“And I’m very happy that my bald spot is once again in a place where it’s hidden so that I can sort of deal with it and people don’t have to be like, ‘Is that a bald spot she has?’

“And I’m so happy he found Conor and I was with him because anyone who follows him knows how funny he is.
“The best damn person to break bad news about because he just made me feel so much better about the whole thing.”
Roz has been open about her alopecia, showing followers the spot and admitting, “Ok, it’s not really great.
“It’s on my head, luckily I’m tall and most people can’t see that anyway.
“After my day of self-pity tomorrow, I plan to make it easy no matter how big the patch gets.
“But again, if you see it… just keep going.
“I’d appreciate it if I didn’t really feel like it stood out.”
She admitted she was “sick” when she learned the condition had returned.
“Absolutely sick. I hate that this happens when I can’t control my stress,” she captioned her Instagram Stories.
