Anna Geary has announced that her beloved father Michael has passed away.
The former Cork camogie player took to Instagram to share the news.
Alongside a series of photos, Anna wrote: “Rest easy dad. How was it a week. 03/16/2022.”
Two of the photos used show Anna and Michael on their wedding day in December 2019.
Another sweet snap shows the 34-year-old and her siblings as children posing with their dad wearing Hurleys.
Many well-known personalities expressed their condolences.
Irish AM presenter Muireann O’Connell said: “Anna, I am so incredibly sorry for your loss. I hope you and your family are doing well.”
Social media star Tadhg Fleming said: “So sorry to hear Anna. Thoughts and prayers to you and the family.”
Irish footballer Stephanie Roche wrote: “Aww Anna so sorry to hear that. I hope you are well. Take care of oneself.”

Dublin footballer Philly McMahon also expressed his condolences, saying: “I’m sorry for your loss Anna.”
Michael’s funeral was held at Milford Church in Cork on Saturday.
A statement on RIP.ie said Mr Geary had died at his home after “a brief illness”.
The obituary read: “Deeply sorry from his loving wife Ellen Ann (née Danaher), daughter Anna (Sexton), son Thomas (and partner Mary Ita Murphy), son-in-law Kevin, brothers David, Martin and Jim. Sisters Siobhán (Roberts), Máire (Deering) and Mairéad (McLoughlin), sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.”
