New Zealand host Australia in the rugby championship with everything still up for grabs in the title race.

Both teams can lift the trophy en route to the finals of games but the All Blacks have been given a boost as Ardie Savea is set to return wearing the number 8. He missed last Thursday’s game against the Wallabies due to the birth of his child but will be a starting XI at Eden Park in Auckland

New Zealand are far more likely to retain their rugby championship title as they currently lead the table on 14 points, level with South Africa and four ahead of the Wallabies. But if Australia can cause a stir, they will give themselves a shot at winning the tournament before the Springboks take on Argentina later on.

However, history is against the Wallabies, as they have not defeated the All Blacks at Eden Park Fortress since 1986. They could have extra motivation given last week’s controversial defeat when referee Mathieu Raynal of New Zealand awarded a penalty to Bernard Foley in the final seconds after ignoring the referee’s warning to hurry and take a free-kick.

Follow all the action from the Crunch Rugby Championship Clash in Auckland below:

Penalty attempt! New Zealand 17-0 Australia

27 minutes – No yellow card, only penalty for offside by James Slipper. Kickable, but the All Blacks corner instead.

Lineout sealed and the drive on, unstoppable towards the line and it’s being pulled down. Andrew Brace’s arm goes up, that’s a penalty try! Seven more points and a yellow card for Australia sent hooker Dave Porecki into the sin trap.

New Zealand 10-0 Australia

25 minutes – New Zealand attacks directly again. Great break from an interrupted game by Ioane as he weaves between defenders and overtakes midway. Has Jordan outside of him but doesn’t give the pass and instead slices inside allowing the defense to cover and stop him. Probably the wrong decision

The Wallabies then concede the penalty kick. We have a game stoppage with a player down but that could be another yellow card.

TO ATTEMPT! New Zealand 10-0 Australia

24 minutes – Can the All Blacks build on those early points? Straight back to offense – powerful carries from Ioane and Lomax put them into the 22nd minute.

Ball spread to the right and Will Jordan is gone! Emerges from Petaia, slips between two defenders and flashes his electric feet to dash across the whitewash. Sublimate!

Mo’unga adds the switch and suddenly the All Blacks are 10 points too good

PENALTY! New Zealand 3-0 Australia

21 minutes – Another warning for Australia for penalties in quick succession. This time the All Blacks hit the post. One easy kick for Richie Mo’unga and he makes no mistake. First blood New Zealand

New Zealand 0-0 Australia

20 minutes – Foley tries to stab a cultivator, but he dribbles out of play fairly ineffectively. New Zealand advances to the Wallabies 10m line.

They lose the lineout but a rough play from Australia makes them cough and now the All Blacks are in the 22. They go through the stages and they win a penalty for offside.

New Zealand 0-0 Australia

17 minutes – I have no idea how it’s still 0-0 here! An absolutely riveting first 16 minutes.

Harry Wilson knocks in the New Zealand 22 after a great tackle from Jordie Barrett. All blacks win the scrum and fold. Quick water break as Barrett makes some running repairs to a headbutt, with blood pouring out the side of his face.

New Zealand 0-0 Australia

15 minutes – Strong forward game. Porecki and Alaalatoa are approaching the All Blacks’ line with strong carries. Penalty New Zealand. What Hooker Codie Taylor Types and Goes!

Nice floor done by Rieko Ioane as he bounces off a couple of tackles and enters the room. Wallabies retreat, rally and fire off a pass at Koroibete, who pushes back, overcoming the defense and collecting his own chip almost halfway. Then steps forward again and New Zealand retreats. Breathless Stuff!

New Zealand 0-0 Australia

12 minutes – Decent exit from Australia and despite New Zealand bringing the ball back from their own half they are pinged midway. Wallabies kick hands-on and have turned the tide here — an alley 10 yards away. Jed Holloway is back too, so it’s 15v15 again. No damage to the visitors in this 1 minute spell

New Zealand 0-0 Australia

10 mins – IMPRESSIVE! The Aussies survive. New Zealand maintains the lane but they are pinged for going off the rails in the ensuing breakdown. Penalty Australia!

You exit the 22 and there’s just a little over a minute left of the Holloway bucket of sin. Good job from the Wallabies

New Zealand 0-0 Australia

9 minutes – This time it’s a scrum penalty for an Australian offside. Change of tactics for the All Blacks as they step towards the corner. Rugby Championship LIVE: All Blacks vs Australia Bledisloe Cup latest result and updates as title is decided at Eden Park
