Russell Crowe discovered cycling in Dublin and Wicklow


Actor Russell Crowe was seen cycling around Bray enjoying the sunshine as he took a break from filming his new film.

he Hollywood star is here to film his new supernatural thriller titled The Pope’s Exorcist.

He portrays the lead role of the real-life character Father Gabriele Amorth, a priest who served as the Vatican’s chief exorcist and performed more than 100,000 exorcisms in his lifetime. The Italian died in 2016 at the age of 91.

Crowe took a break from filming at Ardmore Studios in Bray to make the most of the heated phase.

He has also been spotted in Killiney and Shankill on his bike with his girlfriend Britney Theriot.

The Gladiator star also dined on-site at DeVilles restaurant in Dalkey during the week.

DeVilles shared a message online Thursday, saying it was an “absolute pleasure” to serve the 58-year-old.

“Amazing that the wonderfully talented actor Russell and his lovely girlfriend Britney stopped by at De Villes the other night,” it said.

“What an absolute gentleman… So kind to all our staff and so kind to our other guests. Here to film The Exorcist of the Pope, we get it.

“You have our blessings RC… What an absolute pleasure to have you here. Welcome to Dalkey.”

Earlier this month, Crowe was spotted wearing black religious robes while filming scenes at Trinity College Dublin.
