Russia bans Boris Johnson over sanctions on Ukraine – POLITICO

Russia on Saturday banned British Prime Minister Boris Johnson and senior British politicians from entering the country over sanctions linked to the war in Ukraine.

This was announced by the Russian Foreign Ministry a statement that the UK government’s “unprecedented hostile actions” against senior Russian officials led it to restrict entry into the country of 13 leaders, including Johnson, Deputy Prime Minister Dominic Raab, Foreign Secretary Elizabeth Truss and Defense Secretary Ben Wallace.

The UK this week imposed a series of new penalties on 206 Russian people in response to a Russian missile attack on a train station in eastern Ukraine that killed dozens of civilians. Britain is also providing civilian and military assistance to Ukraine.
