Deadpool fans will be excited to hear that the long-awaited third installment in the X-Men spin-off series is finally underway once it has found a director.

Variety also reported on Shawn’s date, wrote: “The director of Free Guy and The Adam Project will once again team up with Ryan Reynolds for Deadpool 3, the highly anticipated third installment in the action comedy franchise.”

They added: “Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, who penned the first two Deadpool films, will write a third film based on the X-Men comic book character, created by Rob Liefeld.”

The magazine notes that this means Lizzie Molyneux-Loeglin and Wendy Molyneux, the Emmy Award-winning writers of Bobs Burgers, have been effectively replaced as writers on the third film.

The box office success was even more surprising as the violent nature of the films resulted in the first two being R-rated in the United States.
