Ryan Reynolds has confirmed that the third Deadpool movie will feature director Shawn Levy.
this will be the third time the Canadian actor and director has collaborated, having worked together on the 2021 action comedy Free Guy and the newly released 2022 sci-fi film The Adam Project.
Reynolds will return as the mouth-watering superhero in the third season, following the success of the 2016 original and 2018 sequel.
The actor, 45, shared an atmospheric movie poster-style image to Instagram which features him dressed up as the main characters of his three Levy projects.
He captioned the post: “The third movie in my Shawn Levy trilogy is going to be a little tougher. @slevydirect @deadpoolmovie. ”
The Deadpool character first appeared on the big screen in 2009’s X-Men Origins: Wolverine before getting his own spin-off series.
This will be another directorial change for the Marvel franchise, with the original 2016 Deadpool directed by Tim Miller and a David Leitch sequel.
It will also be the first Deadpool movie since Disney acquired 20th Century Fox, which distributed the first two seasons.
