Ryanair launches 10 new routes from the UK

RYANAIR has launched 10 new routes from its new base in Newcastle.
The low-cost airline will operate a total of 19 routes from the airport, with more than 130 flights a week from Newcastle during the summer.
The 10 new destinations are Chania in Greece, Fuerteventura, Gran Canaria, Ibiza, KrakówMenorca, Milan, Paphos, Riga in Latvia and Zadar in Croatia.
Ryanair has invested £152m in its new base in Newcastle, creating 60 jobs.
Dan Brady, Ryanair’s Director of Marketing, said: “Ryanair is delighted to announce its largest Newcastle schedule with 130 weekly flights on 19 routes, including 10 new routes to fantastic destinations such as Chania, Milan and Zadar.
“The opening of this base and the launch of these new routes from Newcastle reaffirms our commitment to improving connectivity, travel and inbound tourism to the region as Ryanair will now offer 40 per cent more capacity than before the pandemic.”


Currently, passengers boarding all Ryanair flights are required to wear a face mask unless they are medically exempt.
This rule is likely to be scrapped in the next few weeksas Ryanair boss Michael O’Leary said he hopes to end the mask requirement by “late April or May”.
Other airlines have already abandoned their mandatory face mask rule, including easyJet, Jet2 and VirginAtlantic.
Earlier this month, TUI scrapped its mandatory face mask rule for passengers on flights to and from England and Northern Ireland.
The tour operator has now expanded this Passengers flying to and from Wales.
