Ryanair marks new March bank holiday by offering Europe flights at discounted prices

RYANIAR is celebrating its new bank holiday announcement by offering flights at a discount that weekend – a steal.

Following the Irish Government’s announcement of a bonus bank holiday on Friday 18 March, the low-cost airline has announced the sale of celebratory seats starting at just €19.99.

These bank holiday promotional rates will apply until Sunday, January 23.

A Ryanair spokesperson said: “What better way to mark a four-day weekend than with a well-deserved getaway to one of Europe’s top destinations.

“Whether you’re looking for a food-packed weekend in Italy, a sandy beach in Spain, or an action adventure on the ski slopes of Austria, make sure to book your flight. you by Sunday, January 23 on Ryanair.com.”

Last summer, Ryanair boss Michael O’Leary warned that he was planning to increase the cost of flying by 2022.

In May, speaking to BBC Breakfast, he said: “I have no doubt prices will go up, especially during the peak of the bank holiday weekends, the holiday travel period.

“We’re going to get people to book very early because I think there will be fewer seats and the price will be higher.”

This new bank holiday is to recognize the efforts of frontline workers and those who have worked during Covid-19 Disease.

The government is also recognizing a tax-free €1,000 payment to eligible frontline ambulance and paramedics.

This will be a once bank holiday, with the next year’s date falling in early February around St Brigid’s Holiday from 2023 onwards.
