Lysette Anthony went on to criticize Hollyoaks’ former owners by claiming that they looked down on her.
The 58-year-old actress, whose character Marnie Nightingale was killed after a race among the cast, hinted that she had been a victim of asphyxiation.

Lysette, who today revealed her six-year secret battle with Parkinson, has been extremely critical of her former bosses since she was fired from the Channel 4 show.
In January, she spoke out online, saying her former owners “rotted in hell”.
Her comments come the week her character was killed following a racist incident involving her former co-star Rachel Adedeji.
Lysette said her time on the soap came to an end after what she called “18 months of hell” at the hands of her executioners, who she claimed were trying to “abort” her.
The actress shared an excerpt from a news post saying she was embroiled in an argument with Rachel after the former X Factor star said she was “disappointed” with the way Hollyoaks showed solidarity following the incident. death of George Floyd.
The excerpt added that Rachel, who dropped out of the show, branded Lysette “trash” after she “apparently called Rachel’s supporters ‘traitors’.”
Lysette posted the words on her Instagram page before releasing it into a statement.

A flurry of racism erupted when Rachel made headlines at the show for its handling of the Black Lives Matter movement in the wake of Floyd’s death.
At the time, it was reported that several stars had threatened to quit after Rachel made a series of accusations of racism.
And attention turned to Lysette after former star Charlie Clapham shared messages Lysette had sent in a group chat about Rachel’s supporters.
She said: “..sorry but we won’t have to go back if this continues to be x-popular”.
She also described Charlie and Amanda as “disgusting” and said they had “a traitor vibe going on”.
A spokesperson for the show said at the time: “We were deeply saddened to read Rachel’s comments on social media about Hollyoaks this evening. We will be contacting Rachel directly.”
