A source tells The sun on Sunday: “Sam is really looking forward to his long awaited comeback and feels the time is right.

“They’re all about love, laughter and being able to go out and dance again, and they want that to be reflected in their music after a tough few years. Of course, Sam will also keep his classic sound, but expect Love Me More to have an anthemic, dance-like feel.

“The video will be filmed later this month and the single is expected to be released not long after.”

Sam’s latest album, entitled Love Goes, was released in October 2020 and reached number two in the UK Albums Chart.

The album – which received mixed reviews from critics – contained the singles My Oasis, Diamonds and Kids Again.

Back in 2020, Sam – who will be celebrating her 30th birthday this May – revealed they were looking forward to becoming parents in their 30s.

The singer, who identifies as non-binary and said in an interview back in 2017, “I feel as much a woman as I do a man,” told Apple Music, “I want kids. I want it all. I want it all. i want to have children

“I want to be with the kids and see them grow up and be with them every day. I want to be mom!

“I will definitely do that at some point, but I have more in me. I still have ambitions.

“I try to calm it down and downplay it all the time, but I’m ambitious and I would still want to sing in front of people and do that job. It’s an amazing feeling.”

Also in 2020, Sam opened up about her gender identity, telling the Late Late Show, “It was absolutely incredible that I could say that to everyone and feel so much more open about certain parts of my personality and life.”

Sam continued, “It’s been amazing, but it’s also been really, really hard to see all the backlash and the amount of people who are still not supporting gender non-conforming and trans people around the world.”

They continued, “It’s definitely a bigger fight than I expected, but I feel good in my skin, which is the price and the wonderful.”

Sam added: “In a world where I wasn’t a well-known person, I would have changed my pronouns and got used to it in a normal way, which is what I was actually trying to do.

“A message I sent to my family about changing my pronouns got weirdly leaked, so I had to decide to tell everyone and do it.”
