Sam Surridge joins Nottingham Forest after £2.2m deal with Stoke, as club move closer to Jonathan Panzo

REVIEW ace Sam Surridge will join Nottingham Forest on transfer deadline day.
SunSport understands that Forest and the Potters have struck a deal worth £2.2m for Surridge, who will link up with his new side tonight.
The striker is expected to undergo a medical with the Championship outfit, where he will reunite with former coach Steve Cooper.
Sources have told SunSport that the former England Under-21 international will sign a two-and-a-half year contract with Evangelios Marinakis’ club.
Cardiff have also been following the 23-year-old but Forest recently joined the bidding wars and looks set to come out on top.
SunSport has also learned that Nottingham is close to signing Dijon defender Jonathan Panzo this month.
However, there is still no agreement between the two clubs about the England Under-21 international.
Forest are pushing for a long-term deal involving Panzo, who has made 26 appearances for the French club since joining Monaco in 2020.

Surridge starts at Bournemouth and joined the senior squad in 2015 before spending a spell on loan.
The Cherries have sent the striker to Weymouth, Poole Town, Yeovil Town, Oldham Athletic and Swansea, where he played under Cooper.
Native Slough signed with Stoke Last August when he put pen to paper signed a 4-year contract.
Surridge has scored a total of five goals and one assist in 25 games across all competitions this season.
