Samsung’s new Frame TV is already on sale at Woot

The latest 43-inch model of Samsung’s The Frame TV was made available yesterday but is already discounted at Woot. Normally $999.99, Woot has reduced this TV to just $799.99 for today o.oonly. This QLED panel mimics the look and feel of a framed piece of art, hence the name. The Frame TV is all about aesthetics and turning a large and otherwise unsightly device into a tasteful decorative piece in your home. Just like last year’s model, the 2022 The Frame TV is just 2.5cm thick, allowing it to fit seamlessly into almost any living space.
The Frame TV’s 43-inch panel is a 4K QLED HDR display. While 4K is pretty much a given at this point, HDR offers greater color depth. Additionally, the QLED display allows the display to stay on for longer periods of time without the risk of burn-in that you might see with OLED displays. Just note that the 43-inch model is capped at just 60Hz, unlike the larger models that support a 120Hz refresh rate. It’s also worth noting that while the display supports HDR, it doesn’t support local dimming technology like Dolby Vision.
the latest model from The Frame TV retains much of what worked with the 2021 model. It uses the same QLED display and runs Samsung’s Tizen OS – in addition to providing built-in streaming apps and Samsung, Google and Amazon voice assistants. This operating system is also AirPlay 2 compatible to enable screen sharing from Apple devices.
The biggest difference with this latest model is Samsung’s new “Matte Display,” which drastically changes how the display absorbs and reacts to light. The result is an image that more closely resembles an actual painting that you would find in a museum. Ultimately, this feature gives the latest model from The Frame TV an appearance that is difficult to distinguish from a real work of art.
Of course, you’re welcome to display works from your own collection, but Samsung also has an online art store with over 2,000 pieces. Ranging from old masters to contemporary photography, they are all available to download straight to your Frame TV.
