Sandra Bullock reveals she will take a break from acting to focus on parenting

Bird Box actress Sandra Bullock – who has son Louis, 11, and daughter Laila, 10 – said she will spend some time with her children

Sandra Bullock revealed she is putting her acting career on hold to focus on raising her children.

The Proposal actress, 57, has children Louis, 12, and Laila, 10.

After a screening of her new film, The Lost City, she explained her future plans when it comes to work and family.

“I’m going to take some time off to be a mom,” Sandra said at the SXSW Film Festival in Austin, Texas.

She also shared the news in a chat with Tonight’s reception.

“I take my job very seriously when I work,” the Heat actress explained, revealing that her acting job is a 24/7 commitment.

“And I just want to be with my kids and my family 24/7. That’s where I’ll be for a while.”

The actress started the adoption process when she married TV star Jesse James.

However, when they split and divorced in 2010, Sandra chose to continue the adoption process of Louis as a single parent.

She went on to receive Laila in 2015.

Sandra was recently pictured looking chic when she arrived to film The Late Show With Stephen Colbert.

The star stunned in a salmon pink blazer, black crop top and multicolored trousers upon arrival at the New York City building.

She looks fresh with simple makeup and black eyeshadow. The actress also has wavy wavy hair.

The Bird Box star previously shared about her adoption journey back in 2015.

Talking to Everyone about her children, she revealed that both – both adopted from Louisiana – came to her ‘at the right time’.

“My family is mixed and diverse, nutritious, and loving and understanding,” she says. “It’s a family.”

There was a time in her life when she thought her chance to be a mother was over.

“And then (Storm) Katrina happened,” Sandra said Today.

“Katrina happened in New Orleans, and I know. Like, just something told me my baby was there. It was weird. It was very, very strange.”

However, it does not happen immediately.

“Three or four years later,” Bullock said of when she became a mother. “But then I looked at (Louis), and I just said, ‘Oh, there you are.’ It’s like he’s always been there.”
