Sarina Wiegman explains England’s call for Katie Robinson
England manager Sarina Wiegman has explained why she called up Katie Robinson to her Lionesses squad.
The 20-year-old winger is in the group for two friendlies in November.
Wieman said: “She did well – last Sunday (the 8-0 loss to Tottenham) wasn’t the best game but over time she did well.
“She has done well at U23, she has some qualities that she has shown and we would really like to see her at the highest level in our environment and see what she can bring and if she can compete with the players at hers Job.
“She’s got speed, she wants to go forward so she gets behind defense all the time and she’s goal oriented and we want to see that in the position where she could play.”
