Lesson learned Saturday night: Contestant gave the wrong list by mistake
Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly were forced to restart a segment on Saturday Night Takeaway after a major lapse.
The pair presented the Read My Lips segment on the ITV show, with guest announcer and Line Of Duty star Anna Maxwell Martin tasked with reading people’s lips. This week’s category was British TV shows, but due to a major technical error, a woman gave the wrong list for Anna to guess.
Anna has successfully secured the first two guests a Takeaway Getaway, but when it comes to the last guest, things go horribly wrong as Anna tries to guess possible TV shows.

Instead of saying the names of the TV shows, the woman started trying to say the words nachos and biryani – because then it happened that she had been mistakenly given the list and not a TV show.
The whole thing sent fans at home and those in the studio into a frenzy as they joked about non-existent TV shows called ‘Nachos’ and ‘Biryani’, calling them a “good watch.” “.
Ant and Dec yelled to stop the game after realizing the mistake, but Anna couldn’t hear because she was wearing headphones and there was a delay in the live video call from the guest.

Taking to Twitter, fans of the ITV show found the whole thing hilarious.
“Did the lady from Abbot Newton misread her shopping list? #SaturdayNightTakeaway“, one person asked, as another added: “NACHOS. BIRYANI what happened there #SaturdayNightTakeaway. ”
The third wrote: ” @itvtakeaway I assume it’s live broadcast, anything can happen #SaturdayNightTakeaway“as a fourth added:” Never seen a TV show called Biryani or Nachos #SaturdayNightTakeaway. ”

“Why did she randomly switch from food to TV shows #saturdaynighttakeaway“, another pointed out, with a second viewer writing along with a laughing emoji: “Popular British TV series… ‘Nachos’. #SaturdayNightTakeaway. ”
Then there was another incident where in the Happiest Minute of the Week Segment, the wrong family was shown.
Viewers – and the families themselves – were confused as they were shown on the screen but they did not hear their names spoken. However, it was later revealed that the first family to be shown also won a Takeaway Getaway.
