However, the segment was hit with a flurry of fix requests on social media as fans watched calling out what they called a string of bugs in the game and the big reveal when Stephen Mulhern returned. back to his dark room to choose the lucky winner.
Stephen entered the dark room where balls were dropped on him – all with their own numbers – and he had to catch one, with the person in Glasgow with that number selected for the holiday of a lifetime.
However, the fans who followed pointed out some problems with how the winners were chosen
“#SaturdayNightTakeaway sorry guys, it’s all lame! The woman with the number 40 appeared from the side! No one saw the number 40 in the draw. But you know, the whole show was lame! and no progress! Leave!” one said, as they made the decision to have Stephen find the winning number in a dark room where it couldn’t be displayed on a screen.
“Revealing the #40 winner won’t make people think it’s a fix. Let’s move on from the left stage #SaturdayNightTakeaway,” another mused as they pointed out how the contestant suddenly won. suddenly appeared from the crowd.
Others questioned the number, as some insisted Stephen said it was 14, not 40.
“Uh, it’s 14, not 40 right??? #SaturdayNightTakeaway“, one person wrote, as another added: “He definitely said 14! ”
One viewer suggested Stephen pulls the ‘winning’ ball from his pocket, but another fan insisted it was the torch he took from his pocket, adding: “I thought so but no he she pulled out the torch #SaturdayNightTakeaway.”
It follows a similar incident in a previous episode of the show, where fans believe Sam Fender picked number 1 rather than number 7, after picking up a ball with the winner being number one.
