Saturday Night Draw: Ant and Dec play ‘Ring my Bell’
Saturday Night Takeaway fans were delighted when host Ant and Dec introduced a brand new segment to the show, Ring My Bell, on the latest episode.
The contest saw entrants flock to their neighbors’ homes for a chance to win £500.
Thanks to the rise in popularity of video doorbells, the SNT team was able to capture video from someone’s home camera among the live show’s audience.
The studio audience then needed to jump and shout ‘ding, dong, that’s my bell!’ if they see their street on the big screen.
Then, only when one of their neighbors watched from home running to their front door to ring the bell did they have a chance to win cash.
Neighbors, who can race against other neighbors, have 45 seconds to ring the doorbell and say ‘ring my bell’.
If successful, the winning neighbor will also win £500 in the chaotic competition.
The new segment has proven popular with viewers – with some even calling for it to have its own spin-off.
Not everyone is a fan, however, with some viewers sharing the same frustrations with the show.

Dog owners took to Twitter to share that their four-legged friends were doing great and were even frustrated when the doorbell kept ringing.
One fan wrote: “The dogs will go crazy from ringing my bell”.
Another chatted: “So whose dog went crazy ringing the doorbell on @antanddec Saturday Night Takeaway?”
A third commented: “@antanddec loves my bells. But I hate you because my dogs haven’t stopped barking for the past 15 minutes.”

This wasn’t the only criticism the show received, with some viewers at home speculating that the show was staged and wondering how people got home so quickly.
On Twitter, one user said: “” SaturdayNightTakeaway mhm, I feel like this segment is staged lmao. “
A second skeptic noted that seconds after a doorbell rang, neighbors arrived at the contestant’s home with the infant in tow – observing that this seemed ‘a bit suspicious. ‘.
