NOW, people in the UK are paying more attention to their monthly bills than ever before.
Based on a survey of 15,000 of its customers, the Lebara telephone network has calculated that you can save an average of £10 on your monthly phone bill by switching providers.
When switching from one of the big four networks in the UK, the savings are even greater, amounting to £135 a year.
In the past, UK networks have relied on their customers not being proactive enough to look elsewhere for deals – but times are changing.
With inflation at record highs and the cost of living spiraling out of control, Brits are closely monitoring their spending in every aspect of their lives, including their mobile phones.
Earlier this year, Lebara also conducted a survey to show how Brits wanted to cut back on spending to save money on bill montage
They collected the following results from the participants:
- 77% fear their energy bills will become unaffordable.
- 48% say they plan to switch at least one of their utilities to save money
- 46% use 5GB or less of data on their phone each month
- 31% currently pay over £20 a month for their phone bill
“Customers are often unaware that all mobile operators in the UK use one of the four big networks,” explains Rajesh Dongre, UK Managing Director of Lebara. “That’s why they don’t compromise on the quality and reliability of the network when switching from one of the big brands.
“Moving to Lebara will help you save money which may allow you to keep doing some of the things you love. Plus, the excellent customer service and same great network really make it a no-brainer.”
Lebara offers a range of SIM-only plans that focus on low data for little money – plans start at 3G monthly data for £5 a month, while 6GB costs £10 a month and £25 a month for unlimited data .
All plans include at least 100 minutes of international calls to 42 countries, making them perfect when you have loved ones abroad.
And all of these plans work on a rolling one-month basis, meaning there’s no long-term commitment.
You can unsubscribe from your plan at any time, or even switch to a different data plan the following month if you need to.
Lebara is perhaps the only network that allows you to use your entire plan allowance in the EU (up to 30 GB for customers with unlimited data plans) at no extra charge.
This is some peace of mind for those traveling in the coming months.
Lebara is rated excellent on Trustpilot with over 10,000 5-star reviews. It runs on the Vodafone network and offers 5G as standard for all Sim plans.
During these tough financial times, take control of your phone spending and switch to a better, cheaper and smarter provider like Lebara.
