The ‘terrified’ fiancee of a man who disappeared two days ago is asking for tips and says it’s ‘uncharacteristic’ that he suddenly cut ties.

Kelsey Mulcahy says it’s exceptionally uncharacteristic of her partner Joseph Day not to return her calls or get in touch.

Kelsey had traveled to London from the couple’s Bristol home on Saturday and was texting Joseph until 9.30pm when he suddenly stopped replying.

The couple were due to go to Bath Spa today but he has not been seen since Saturday night.

“I can’t stress enough how out of character this is for him,” Kelsey said.

“We’ve been together for five years, he wouldn’t do that to me, we have a very happy relationship. We were both looking forward to going to Bath today.

Kelsey said she was “appalled” that something had happened to Joseph.

The couple moved to Clifton from New Zealand in January and don’t have many friends in Bristol. Bristol Live reports.

But Kelsey’s friends have now traveled from London to help find him.

His sister Olivia said: “Please help us locate my brother – Joseph Day – a missing New Zealander in Bristol.

“Joseph has been missing for more than 35 hours and is considered low priority by local police, but he is NOT.

“His family feels helpless abroad and cannot stress how uncharacteristic and HIGH RISK this is.

“What if you were told that your loved one is not a high priority and is a ‘low risk’?”

A spokesman for Avon and Somerset Police said: “I can confirm that Joseph was reported missing to police last night and we are investigating.”

He is described as being 5’11” of athletic build, with tattoos on both forearms.

He may be wearing black Nike high-top sneakers, a long black wax jacket, and a blue Seattle Mariners baseball cap.
