Scarlett Moffatt delights in singing the opera live on television, with just 24 hours to rehearse, alongside famous faces like Tamzin Outhwaite, Rose Jones, Helen George and Nina Wadia

Scarlett Moffatt burst into tears as she sang opera on live television during Tonight’s Comic Relief Ceremony, along with a bunch of other celebrities.
The Gogglebox star, along with Rosie Jones, Helen George, Tamzin Outhwaite and Nina Wadia had 24 hours to rehearse before performing the Aria triple medley from the opera Carmen at the London Coliseum this Red Nose Day.
The women were amazing and Scarlett burst into tears while performing in front of the crowd.
Speaking after her phenomenal performance with host Sara Cox, the 31-year-old said she watched Comic Relief as a child and being on the show was “awesome.” She added: “Everybody is born knowing Comic Relief.”
Speaking ahead of the live performance, Scarlett said: “To be asked to be in Comic Opera with the rest of the brilliant women is incredibly exciting.
“I’m scared but totally up for this challenge as I’ve been a fan of Red Nose Day for a long time and the work Comic Relief does is so important, so I really hope this helps. people donate, support, donate.”
Speaking on her Instagram account yesterday, the I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here star said: “I don’t even think I’m going to sleep tonight. I’m really excited but also real. worry.
This is too far from my comfort zone; I’m not a professional singer, I’ve never learned to sing, never mind opera.
“People train for opera for years, sometimes decades, and we don’t even get 24 hours, which is crazy. However, I don’t regret signing up, I think it’s going to be awesome. .”
Viewers took to Twitter to share their admiration for the group, with one saying: “They all sing wonderful operas. And Rosie Jones is such an inspirational woman. I love her so much. a lot of!”

This year’s Comic Relief produced many memorable moments, including a technical glitch near the top, a beautiful dance by champion dancers Rose Ayling-Ellis and Giovanni Pernice, and host David Tennant choked as he said he felt ‘helpless’ amid the Ukraine crisis.
