Scary man approaches school kids and asks them “Do you want to come with me?”

Police in Coventry have reported that an unidentified man has tried to get children on the school run to come with him twice in recent weeks

School children were eerily approached by a stranger who frostily asked them “Do you want to come with me?”.
The incident happened twice in the Coundon area of Coventry in the past week, reports Coventry Live.
Both incidents were reported to have occurred before school mornings on Southbank Road on June 14 and again on June 21.
The schoolboys were both approached by a man who creepily told them to follow him.
The police say they are cooperating with the school and are investigating. Coundon Primary School was contacted for comment.
Speaking of the incident, Coventry Police Inspector Jerome Moran said: “We are investigating two reports of suspicious activity in Southbank Road, Coundon, where school children have been approached.
“We think boys were approached on both occasions by a man — probably in his 30s or 40s — who said words along the lines of ‘Will you come with me?’ said.
“There was no physical contact and the children were not injured. The first incident occurred on June 14 at 8:50 a.m., the second on June 21 at 8:30 a.m. We are investigating whether the incidents are related and are working with the school concerned.
“We have officers patrolling the area before and after school and doing other inquiries and investigative opportunities. If anyone has seen anyone behaving suspiciously, or is a parent of a child who has also been approached, please get in touch with us.
“People can call us on our website on 101 or on live chat. Please provide crime reference 20/552819/22.”
Coundon Primary School has passed Coventry Live’s inquiry to Coventry City Council, who said they would not comment as the matter had been referred to the police.
