Three schoolboys have been charged with the murder of a man who was stabbed to death outside Asda.

Police officers investigating the murder of Ian Kirwan in Redditch said they charged three other youths with the murder today.

West Mercia Police announced the three boys, aged 13, 14 and 15, have been charged with murder and violent disorder.

They are due to appear before Kidderminster Magistrates’ Court this afternoon, Birmingham live reports.

Two other youths, aged 14 and 15, had previously been charged with murder and taken into juvenile detention.

A total of five youths have now been charged with the murder of Mr Kirwan.

The charges relate to the death of 53-year-old Mr Kirwan in Redditch on Tuesday March 8th.

The Land Rover software engineer contractor was allegedly stabbed to death outside Asda on Jinnah Road around 8pm.

A West Mercia Police spokesman said today: “Officers charged three other youths this morning (Wednesday 18 May) in connection with the death of Ian Kirwan. Three boys, aged 13, 14 and 15, have been charged with murder and violent disorder.
