BASTIAN SCHWEINSTEIGER reveals his ‘great pain’ as Jose Mourinho banned him from the Manchester United dressing room.. on his BIRTHDAY.
The German legend has lost his ‘love’ and ‘trust’ for United after Mourinho questioned his professionalism and ordered him to train with the Under-23 team.
Schweinsteiger says Mourinho has apologized for punishing him for receiving medical treatment in his home country – but the damage has already been done.
World Cup champions 121 teams have won Champions League glory and eight Bundesliga titles with Bayern Munich.
But his career began to fade when he joined United in 2015.
And the former midfielder admits he has ‘lost love’ with the Red Devils following Mourinho’s dramatic actions with him.
Schweinsteiger still played 31 games under Louis Van Gaal but Old Trafford fortunes flashed under Portuguese manager Mourinho – bottoming out on his 32nd birthday on August 1, 2016.
I said Official Manchester United Podcast: “It was very strange on my birthday.

“I went to the dressing room to change but then someone told me I was not allowed in and had to play against the second team.
“I was in a lot of pain because no one talked to me.
“Then I spoke to Mourinho about it and he explained something to me, which I really didn’t understand and it had to do with the second injury I had.
“The first injury I got in the last season before being taken by the medical department of United and then in an easy workout I got the same injury…
“So I asked Louis van Gaal if I could get treatment in Germany because we have Euro 2016 coming up and everyone always agrees with that.
“So I did it, I was healthy, I played the Euros.
“I was looking forward to going to United to play against Mourinho – who twice really wanted to buy me with Inter Milan in 2010 and then at Madrid.
“Obviously I have a lot of respect for him but I don’t understand why I’m not allowed to train with the first team because there are some different opinions about me being professional – it’s not true because I’m a professional.
“I showed that later when I always practiced with the kids or by myself.”
Schweinsteiger insists he still maintains his love for teammates and fans but has lost some faith in United.
He added: “Mourinho apologized and said he made a mistake, which is of course a good thing but I have lost my heart and love for the club.
“I’ve hurt a lot, it’s a huge pain for me and I can’t really trust (the club).”
