Sea of Thieves players will set sail in a new Limited Time Adventure tomorrow

Next update for Sea of Thieves will be a limited time adventure.

Called the Covered Islands, the event runs from February 17 to March 3 and is the first to become a monthly event that will carry the game’s continuity story forward.

In this adventure, Phantom pirates are running around in the Sea of the Damned – where you arrive at your death aboard the Ferry of the Damned. And because of this, tensions are growing as the different factions “think about how they can use this power for their own ends.”

One of the key players is Captain Flameheart, whose soul was “unintentionally freed” by Sir Arthur Pendragon in The Seabound Soul Tall Tale. Flameheart currently has no physical form, but he was able to summon ghostly pirate ships to fight for him along with his flagship.

Meanwhile, Larinna, leader of the Bilge Rats, has her eyes on the seas, and she’s trying to prepare the pirates for impending conflicts. Whenever there’s a new Adventure to join, it’s a good idea to talk to Larinna first.

And with all this going on, the Pirate Lord himself could be forced into retirement.

One of the most widely visited Outposts on the Sea of Thieves, stories have reached the Golden Sands Outpost of a “dark influence spreading across the seas” that threatens to engulf the islands in mist suffocating blindness – puts the inhabitants of the Golden Sands in danger.

It’s up to you and your fellow pirates to uncover the cause of the mysterious mist, learn more about Belle, and try to save the Golden Sands Outpost.

Once again, the first Limited Time Adventure begins tomorrow, February 17th and runs through March 3rd. Have fun! Sea of Thieves players will set sail in a new Limited Time Adventure tomorrow
