Police are appealing for help to locate a woman who was last seen leaving Leeds hospital without her shoes and has been called a high-risk person.

Hayley James was last seen leaving St James’s Hospital in Leeds and was linked to Lincoln Green and Morley, West Yorkshire Police said.

The 35-year-old has been called a high-risk person by officers and is described as 5ft 2in tall with a thin build and shoulder-length curly black hair, reports Leeds Live.

It is believed that she wears a gray hoodie and black leggings, but it is possible that she is not wearing any shoes.

Hayley has links to Lincoln Green and Morley and anyone with any information about her whereabouts is asked to call 101, citing log 1893 21.

West Yorkshire Police tweeted: “High-risk missing person appeal – Hayley James, 35.

“Last seen leaving St James’s hospital, Leeds. 5ft 2, skinny, shoulder length black curly hair. Gray hoodie, black leggings and no shoes.

“Link to Lincoln Green and Morley. All information rings 101 quoting diary 1893 21.”

According to the charity Missing People, one person is reported missing every 90 seconds in the UK, equivalent to a total of 170,000 people.

Of those, nearly 98,000 are adults and more than 70,000 are children.

The charity also claims that 75% of adults are found within the first 24 hours of being reported missing and 85% are found within two days, while 5% are not found within the first week. first.

For children, the corresponding numbers were that 80% were found rapidly within the day, while 90% were found after 48 hours and 2% were still missing after seven days.

West Yorkshire Police have a page on their website dedicated to missing people.

The good news is that a 16-year-old boy found Monday in Halifax is missing and shows the importance of an appeal.

Police announced : “Khia Ramsden, 16, who was reported missing in Halifax has been found safe and healthy. Many thanks to everyone who shared our appeal.”
