Sega is releasing new gameplay footage from Sonic Origins, coming to Switch this June

Sonic origins is coming to the Nintendo Switch next month, and if you want to see more footage from Blue Blur’s new 4-in-1 collection, you’ve come to the right place.

Sega shared brand new footage of the game during Rulicon’s South Korean online broadcast last weekend. It shows the game menu, anniversary mode and gives fans a look at the original Sonic the Hedgehog game, you can also see a bit more with Knuckles, Tails and Super Sonic.

The fan and news page Tails Channel also shared some additional details (via social media) – noting that there’s a special Super Shapes button, a “New Blue Sphere mode” and that the Drop Dash move is exclusive to the game’s Anniversary mode.

And in case you’re wondering, there are currently “no plans” for a physical release, but Sega has been made aware of the demand. So for now, all you have to do is head over to the Switch eShop (or other digital platforms) with the digital copy if you want to play this collection when it arrives on June 23rd.

Sonic Origins includes Sonic the Hedgehog, Sonic the Hedgehog 2, Sonic 3 & Knuckles and Sonic CD. There will be all sorts of additional content for returning fans and even some extra goodies.
