On Friday, following a single-party motion, Judge Brian O’Moore granted Ms. McSweeney an injunction preventing Twitter International Unlimited Company from terminating her employment contract.

The injunction prevents Twitter from applying the terms of an email sent to her by Elon Musk on Nov. 16 to her contract or terms of employment.

The judge said that at this stage in the trial he was not satisfied with ordering Twitter to reinstate her.

In an affidavit, Ms. McSweeney said her workload has increased significantly to more than 75 hours a week since the Twitter acquisition because many Twitter employees were laid off without notice.
