Serious dance group stars Nadiya Bychkova and Graziano Di Prima have shared how ‘strange’ it feels that Aljaz Skorjanec will not be returning to the BBC.

Nadiya Bychkova and Graziano Di Prima shared their reactions to professional dance partner Aljaz Skorjanec quitting the show.
Aljaz announced his decision to leave his role on the BBC series last month and will not return for the 2022 series – with the professional lineup now revealed.
After nine years on the show, Aljaz explained his decision to quit – with his replacement dancer now confirmed.
Speaking to This Morning on Thursday, his co-stars said it was “strange” to learn he wouldn’t be returning, as showrunner and former Strictly star Alison Hammond admitted she was “stricken” devastated”.
Alison said: “I’m missing Aljaz from serious film, it’s just the first movie he won’t be in. I’m absolutely devastated.”
Nadiya agrees: “Just the thought of him not being there….” as Graziano shared his own thoughts.
He said: “It’s weird without Aljaz. He’s one of the men in the room, he’s the one who makes us laugh. He’s like, ‘Come on guys, push, let’s go. let’s go.” We’ll miss him a lot.”
Last month, the star announced that he was leaving after nine years on the show as a professional dancer.
The star, who competed against Dragon’s Den’s Sara Davies last year, admitted he made the decision that 2021 would be his last appearance ‘some time ago.’

While sharing the news of his passing on social media, Aljaž gave a special thanks to his wife Janette Manrara, who has left the show in 2021.
