James Jordan and Shirley Ballas were embroiled in a heated exchange on social media over comments made about the Ukraine crisis.

The 43-year-old former Serious Dancer attacked Shirley, 61, the head of the BBC’s dance competition, after she insulted James’ remarks about Russian dancers on the show.

James, who is known for his controversial statements on Twitter, has urged some of his Russian dance colleagues not to condemn the attack on Ukraine and instead claim that they continue to “promote” yourself” on social media.

Annoyed by his thoughtless act, James wrote: “I don’t see many Russian dancers that I know and have even shared on the dance floor Seriously with them when openly talking about the war against Ukraine.

“But still promoting myself on social media – very disappointing. They know who they are – not a post about that. ” (sic)

James later doubled down on his comments by adding: “If they’re too scared to speak out against wrongdoing then take a break from social media for a while and stop promoting yourself for a while.” this terrible time.

“Have a little respect. Or… maybe they didn’t speak up because they were also brainwashed.”

Shirley was overjoyed by his remarks and sent the former professional dancer on a mission, saying that many Russian dancers she knew had come to support Ukraine.

She hit back at James, tweeting: “Dear James, it’s unclear who you follow and who follows you.

“Many dancers I know have retweeted in support of Ukraine and are ashamed of their government.

“So much help to their fellow dancers So many people spoke out and retweeted.” (sic)

Shirley continued: “It is heartbreaking but in our Russian-Ukrainian dance community the support has been overwhelming.

“Sadness, tears, overwhelming help and support.

“I don’t know anyone who hasn’t approached from top dancers to beginners. Xxx hugs.” (sic)

James is not going to take this lightly and he turns back the clock 24 hours to try to prove that Shirley was hypocritical with her reaction to him.

He shared a screenshot of the comments Shirley made on Saturday, in which she asked the dancers to “show respect” to Ukraine and not promote their other projects during current time.

James asked the judge: “Why did you post this yesterday? A similar sentiment to me. ”

Despite his attempts to justify his comments, James split his opinion with some calling him “ignorant” and “thoughtless”.

One angry fan replied: “What an ignorant, thoughtless comment. They may have family in Russia and may suffer the consequences of whatever they say. Think about it. before typing”.
