Seven of the best places to buy a real Christmas tree in Sussex

And there’s nothing like the family pick-it-yourself outing to get you in the festive spirit.

Many farms, garden centers and markets across Sussex open their doors each winter to sell real Christmas trees.

Argus has put together a guide to some of the places on your doorstep to get into the festive spirit and find your perfect tree.

1. The Open Market, Brighton

Throughout December there are vendors at Brighton’s Open Market selling real Nordmann fir Christmas trees.

The trees are priced from around £25 to £50 and many come with a wooden base.

2. Rushfields Plant Centre, Poynings

This plant center in Rushfields is open Tuesday to Sunday from 9am to 5.30pm and sells a selection of Christmas trees to suit your space.

They also sell artificial trees if you want to invest in one that can be used year after year.

Wilderness Forest in Uckfield

3. Wilderness Forest, Uckfield

On its 62-acre site in Uckfield, Wilderness Wood adds extra fun to its Christmas tree offering by allowing buyers to chop down their own.

You can also buy pre-cut trees and they are open every day until December 21st.

Prices start at £26 and they sell trees up to 12ft tall for £120.

4. Christmas Trees by Ben GC, Brighton

Ben GC has been supplying Christmas trees to residents of Brighton and Hove for three years.

Its trees are high grade non-drop Nordmann firs and the price includes delivery.

Deliveries are made Monday to Friday from 9am to 3pm.

Prices start from £39 and you can also buy a reusable stand with it.

5. Catsfield Christmas Tree Farm, Catsfield

Catsfield Farm, which sells five different types of Christmas trees, is open every day until Christmas Eve.

The farm is a short drive from Bexhill, Eastbourne and Hastings.

Although the “pick and cut your own tree” option is no longer available, they still have many freshly felled trees for sale.

6. Paradise Park Dobbies, Newhaven

Dobbie’s sells trees from organically managed plantations across Scotland and also offers EV users a 10 per cent discount on its trees.

Their trees are of the Nordmann Fir variety and prices start from £20.

7. Hollingdean Road, Brighton

Hollingdean Road is just off Lewes Road near Sainsbury’s and is home to a Christmas tree vendor.

Right by the train line there are a number of trees of all shapes and sizes that are also delivered to your home.
