TRAFFIC has built up on the A27 after a collision involving four vehicles.
Ambulance services are at the scene of the incident on the eastbound A27 around Pound Lane near Alfriston.
The road is partially blocked with traffic jams for several miles, stretching as far as Beddingham.
A motorist at the scene told The Argus: “There’s at least two or three miles eastbound traffic.
“There are two ambulances at the scene and two police cars.”
Motorists face significant delays of 20 minutes eastbound near Station Road (Drusillas roundabout), but westbound traffic is said to be unaffected.
Sussex Police have been contacted for comment.
